Stand-Down to Prevent Falls In Construction

James Construction will be holding a Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction at all projects during the week of May 2-6. Falls are the leading cause of deaths in the construction industry and James Construction is committed to educating workers on how to stay safe. Fall prevention safety standards were among the top 10 most frequently cited OSHA standards, and accounted for 337 of the 847 deaths in construction during the fiscal year 2014. Fall protection training is required to be taken by all James project personnel which includes recognizing fall hazards and the methods of fall prevention. The stand-down is an opportunity to talk directly with employees at the job about fall hazards and to reinforce the importance of fall prevention. Together with participation from companies across the country in #OSHA’s #StandDown4Safety we can #StopFalls.
