James Construction competitively bid this project from a private bid list which consisted of four general contractors.
The building extension and addition project at the Oakland Central Office Building included the construction of a new Mechanical Room addition at the Second Floor roof, installing a new electrical backup generator system with an above ground fuel storage tank, and a new mechanical system for Bell Atlantic's centralized telephone operation and administration building.
James Construction was able to successfully complete the project in only twelve months – on time and within budget.
