James Construction removed an existing 350 kw emergency generator and replaced it with a new 1500 kw generator which provides emergency back up power for the entire 25 story William S. Moorehead Federal Building. It was required that the original generator remain operational until the new unit was commissioned.

Additionally, a new emergency generator exhaust system, remote radiator, and fuel storage tank were installed, including architectural and structural renovations as necessary. Once the new unit was operational the old unit was removed.

James Construction received an outstanding performance rating for the project which was completed on time and within budget.
