James Construction installed a new air handling unit which services the entire ground floor level of the hospital.  The internal mechanical unit had to be transported through the hospital and assembled in pieces inside the building.  The ground floor remained fully occupied and active throughout the project.

James Construction performed this design-build renovation in multiple phases using night and weekend shifts to reduce interference with day-to-day hospital activities.  HVAC interruptions were scheduled for nights and weekends only.  Negative Air Machines and HEPA Vacuums were used to maintain a dust-free environment.

Work included installation of the new HVAC unit, ductwork and controls, new fire protection, acoustical ceilings, louvers, wet sprinklers, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.
