James Construction completed first floor renovations to the Medical Center in four phases to minimize disruptions to hospital personnel and visitors.  The main corridor remained open during Phases I and II which included all work for the Oncology, Prosthetics, Physical Therapy and Eye Clinics.  Phases III and IV involved renovations to the Media Center and the Medical Center Main Corridor, including relocation of the main entrance.

The project included demolition and removal of approximately 2,600 sq. ft. of structural concrete floor and beams from an existing raised auditorium, plus demolition of existing hospital space.

James Construction has extensive experience working in VA hospital environments. This helped bring the project to successful completion within 4% of contract price despite a four month delay due to VA turnover.
