James Construction refurbished all of the exterior masonry surfaces on Building 1 at the VA Medical Center in Butler, PA. This is the main building at the VA Center and it remained occupied throughout construction.

James Construction removed and replaced damaged bricks, anchors and lintels; cleaned and painted lintels, caulked all windows and vents; repaired, caulked and pointed limestone wash, repaired beam and relieving plates, and cleaned and tuck pointed existing brick.

The exhaust systems of the motorized man lifts were retrofitted with custom duct work to ventilate exhaust fumes to outside 100 ft. of the buildings.  HVAC and electrical systems were shut down in a phased manner for safety.

James Construction completed the work two weeks ahead of schedule and with zero change orders.
