James Construction replaced the mechanical system and upgraded the electrical system, fire protection and architectural finishes at the Jennings Randolph Federal Center in Elkins, West Virginia. The building houses the Federal Courts, U.S. Marshals Offices, Social Security Offices, U.S. Probation Offices and the U.S. Postal Service.

Work included replacing nine Air Handling Units, controls and duct work, existing MCC switchgear and electrical distribution panels, sprinkler system, acoustical ceiling tile and fluorescent lighting systems.

The facility remained in use throughout the renovation and James worked with the GSA, architects and building occupants to minimize impact on daily operations. The project was completed on time and within budget.
