James Construction renovated a 5,000 sq. ft. existing building and constructed a 10,000 sq. ft. addition, creating a new consolidated computer data center at the VA’s H. John Heinz, III Progressive Care Center in Aspinwall.

James Construction contracted geotechnical inspection to ensure adequate bearing capacity in the sandy soil.  Lean concrete footing was poured up to footing subgrade elevation and concrete footers were placed on the lean concrete.

Besides a wet sprinkling system in the ceiling, a clean agent extinguishing system beneath the raised access floor, a 1000kw emergency generator, additional alarms and remote monitoring were installed to ensure 24-7 operation.

James Construction successfully negotiated additional contracts for related IT work which the client had intended to self perform.
